This is often described as “generalised ache in the backs of the legs and behind the knees which is aggravated by standing, walking for long periods or at the end of the day”.

This is a common condition caused by excessive rolling in of the foot (excessive pronation). The muscles of the lower limb attempt to stop this excessive pronation and become fatigued. This leads to muscle ache and discomfort.
